Study clinic
The DIPP study clinic activities have moved to a new location at Tampere University’s Kauppi Campus.
Please bring the following with you to the visit:
- Child health clinic card (for children under school age)
- Vaccination record or other documentation of vaccinations received (for school-aged children)
- DIPP booklet
If your child develops any symptoms of illness before the visit, please contact the study nurse. Infectious diseases may be dangerous to other children visiting the clinic.
We aim to reduce the brief pain caused by blood sampling during the research visit by using a topical anesthetic cream. If you wish, the nurse can apply it to your child’s elbow crease before the blood drawing.
Arrival at the study clinic
The entrance to the Tampere University Kauppi Campus research outpatient clinic is located at Arvo Ylpön katu 34. The primary entrance to the clinic is through the main doors on Arvo Ylpön katu.
The research clinic is located on the first floor (1), next to the information desk. You will find the clinic door marked with the DIPP study logo. You may wait for the study nurse in the research clinic waiting area.
When entering through the main doors: Turn right immediately after entering, pass the information desk to the right.
When entering from the Niveltie side entrance (ground floor, 0): Follow the signs to the information desk. You may use the elevator — signs to the elevator are located immediately to the left after entering. When exiting the elevator, you may turn left again and will immediately find the information desk and the clinic site.
Public transport
Due to limited parking availability, we recommend using public transportation. The terminal stops of bus routes 13 and 14 are located immediately next to the main entrance. Tram line 1 also stops at Kauppi Campus, and the walking distance from the terminal stop is approximately 500 meters.
Parking
If you arrive by car, you may park in the spaces near the main entrance that are marked for university permit parking. The following image shows the university permit parking areas and their locations around the campus.
Please note that it is usually easier to find parking on the Niveltie side if you arrive after 9:00 a.m. In that case, the easiest option is to enter through the nearest entrance. See the picture and instructions on the first page.
Please remember to inform the study nurse of your car’s registration number before your visit or at the latest when you arrive at the information desk. This will allow you to park free of charge for the duration of your visit.
